Good home studio microphones are in a price range of 30-500$. You may want to know that a good home studio mic begs for a good preamp.

A microphone preamp (microphone pre-amplifier), most commonly called mike preamp, is a device used to amplify the voltage taken from a microphone to a higher, more usable level. Most microphones must be used in conjunction with a microphone preamp to function properly.

A recording studio is a facility for sound recording. The recording studio is designed by an acoustician in order to achieve the desired acoustic properties (sound diffusion, low level of reflections, adequate reverberation time for the size of the ambient, etc.).

When you're looking to set up a decent home studio, it's very difficult to find a way to stay within budget without ending up with a terrible sound. There are a number of condensers coming out in this low price range. The best mics for a home studio are XL 990, Behringer Studio Condenser Microphone C-1, M-Audio Nova, Audio Technica AT2020, Shure KSM27.
